As a current pharmacy student, and a future healthcare provider, I am eager
to learn about the roles that other health professionals play I strongly
believe in understanding the roles and contributions of my future
colleagues, that I can better appreciate and utilize their expertise when
we work together as a team for a patient When given the opportunity to
write about pharmacy for your newspaper I consulted a pharmacist at the
hospital I work in about areas of pharmacy that may be of interest to
future physicians We agreed on two areas: 1 what we learn in pharmacy
school-to provide some insight into the education we receive and 2 What we
do for our patients as pharmacists-to provide a better idea about the role
we play and how physicians can utilize our skills By writing about the
